Our Team

Dr. Gregg Kamnetz’s undergraduate work was completed at Valparaiso University in Indiana where he later pursued optometry school at Indiana University. From that point on, Dr. Kamnetz has spent the next 25 years working as an optometrist in Austin, TX. In 2007, after 15 years of practice at his Barton Creek Mall location, Dr. Kamnetz relocated to the Westlake/Rollingwood area. In the optical community Dr. Kamnetz is known for his outstanding degree of customer service and high quality standards.

In addition to running his practice six days a week, Dr. Kamnetz is also a current member of the Texas Optometric Association and on the TSO Board of Directors.

She is a native Texan, born in Austin and raised in McAllen. Dr. Rhodes has always loved math and science, so it only makes sense that she graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and later graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston – College of Optometry.

She has a passion for providing the perfect refraction for every patient and keeping up with the latest trends in eyewear fashion. Dr. Rhodes is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Central Texas Optometric Society.

Dr. Lindsey Brewer was born and raised in Michigan, in a family of healthcare professionals. At an early age, Dr. Brewer’s interest in eye care was piqued as she watched her father (also an optometrist) diagnose eye conditions and help patients see at their best. Dr. Brewer was accepted into the Honors program at Ferris State University in Michigan. After achieving her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2008, Dr. Brewer headed to Houston, TX to pursue her dreams of optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Her externships were completed at La Nueva Casa de Amigos in Houston and Fort Sam Houston Troop Medical Center in San Antonio. In 2012, Dr. Brewer graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry as a therapeutic glaucoma specialist. She has worked closely with ophthalmology for several years and has gained invaluable experience as part of a multidisciplinary team of surgeons and clinicians. She is well-versed in eye disease, cataract evaluation, pre/post-op LASIK and PRK, pediatrics, and contact lenses. She attends optometric continuing education meetings throughout the year to keep up with the latest treatments and technology.

Dr. Brewer enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children, and their Goldendoodle puppy. Her interests include Peloton cycling and strength training, traveling, snow skiing, jet skiing on Lake Austin, being with family and friends, and trying out intriguing restaurants all over Austin! Dr. Brewer has practiced optometry all over Texas and along the Gulf Coast. She and her family have happily settled down in West Lake Hills. She is enthusiastic and ready to serve all of your eye care needs!

Dr. Lisa Cantrell was born in Florida but raised in Texas. She decided while still in High School that she would pursue optometry. She attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with Honors. Then she was on to complete her goal of becoming an optometrist. Dr. Cantrell received her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry with Honors in 2006.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cantrell loves to travel, enjoys watching old movies, and attempting Pinterest projects. She also has a heart for animal rescue and has 3 dogs and 3 cats from the Humane Society.
